Bloom Box to the Rescue?

On 60 Minutes, a scientist from Bloom Energy unveiled an energy cube the size of his forehead that can power a U.S. home. Much like the Energon cubes that Transformer “Soundwave” created, I think this guy’s invention is pure fiction. If the thing works as advertised, it produces cheap, clean energy in a small form factor. But come on, look at the guy’s face. I’ve seen that look before. It’s the look of bullshit.

APPLE HUNTS DOWN AND DESTROYS “BIKINI” APPS

In a move that pissed off horny iPhone users around the world, Apple removed over 5,000 iPhone Apps from its App Store that contained any pictures of women in bikinis! Apparently a bunch of whiners complained that their 12 year old kids could download these apps and so Apple reacting like a 12 year old, ripped all the apps from the store. Bikini App Developers were left holding their dicks in their hands, and to rub salt in their wounds, Apple allowed apps from Playboy, Maxim, FHM and Sports Illustrated to remain in the App Store.

Message for Steve Jobs…  Don’t take your kids to the beach!

TECH TIP OF THE WEEK

And finally, my Tech Tip of the Week is a special Tech Tip aimed only at my elderly readers.

Here goes.

To all the old folks out there, including my grandma who always calls me for tech help, here’s a tip:

IF YOU’RE OLD, DON’T USE COMPUTERS!

You’ve lived 50 years without them. No matter how many times I tell you which mouse button you need to click to open a folder, and what a google is, you’ll still call me up the next day to ask the same questions over again. Do me a favor, and do what old people have done for centuries. Go to the park and feed the pigeons! Your generation missed out! Don’t try to play catch up now.
