On August 24, the 34th Guangzhou Expo grandly opened at the Canton Fair Complex in Pazhou, Guangzhou, running concurrently with the 2nd Guangzhou Exhibition for Consumption Assistance. As a vital trade and business exchange platform in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), this year's Expo has brought together high-quality enterprises from across the country. Notably, Qiandongnan Prefecture formed a delegation of 11 local premium specialty agricultural enterprises. Leveraging the GBA exhibition platform, the delegation is making every effort to promote the initiative of bringing Guizhou products from the mountains to the Bay Area, continuously deepening Guangdong-Guizhou consumption collaboration, and injecting strong momentum into comprehensive rural revitalization.

In recent years, driven by the ongoing consumption upgrade in the GBA, market demand for green, organic, and high-quality specialty agricultural products has surged. Blessed with a superior natural and ecological environment, Qiandongnan Prefecture has nurtured a wide range of highly competitive specialty agricultural products. However, breaking geographical barriers to deliver these mountain delicacies directly to the tables of GBA consumers has remained a core priority for local departments of agriculture and rural affairs. As a comprehensive trade fair with a long history and extensive influence in South China, the Guangzhou Expo has naturally become the premier platform for Qiandongnan to bring its products from the mountains to the Bay Area.

The exhibition delegation was organized jointly by the Qiandongnan Prefecture Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs and the Foshan Municipal Working Group Stationed in Qiandongnan. Against the broader context of the East-West Collaboration, the Guangzhou Expo serves not only as a showcase for local specialty products but also as a vital bridge connecting high-quality agricultural products from western China with the vast GBA market. To ensure a successful exhibition, the two departments launched meticulous preparations a month in advance. The preparatory team visited all 16 counties and county-level cities across Qiandongnan. After multiple rounds of screening and strict evaluation, they carefully selected 11 leading enterprises in agricultural industrialization and high-quality specialty enterprises.

These enterprises presented a rich and highly distinctive array of exhibits, featuring over 30 premium specialty agricultural products, including Kaili Sour Soup, Sansui Duck, camellia oil, passion fruit, Dendrobium, and tea. Notably, many of these products boast superior quality and hold Green Food and Organic Product certifications, along with the GBA "Vegetable Basket" Base Certification and "Shenzhen Premium" accreditation. This fully demonstrates Qiandongnan's solid achievements in the standardization and branding of its agricultural products.

During the expo, Qiandongnan Prefecture adopted an innovative model where the government builds the platform, associations coordinate, and enterprises take the spotlight, actively engaging with the GBA market. The delegation participated in multiple dedicated production-sales matchmaking sessions, holding in-depth negotiations with local Guangzhou supermarkets, community fresh food chains, e-commerce platforms, and cross-border buyers. At the venue, the Qiandongnan booth attracted massive foot traffic, with specialty tasting samples such as sour soup dishes, fresh Dendrobium juice, and passion fruit beverages receiving unanimous praise from buyers and visitors. Following three days of highly efficient matchmaking, the participating enterprises achieved fruitful results, securing indicative orders totaling over 600,000 RMB. The booth welcomed more than 2,000 buyers and visitors in total and distributed over 1,500 copies of corporate promotional materials and product brochures.

Thanks to its outstanding organization and exemplary exhibition performance, the Qiandongnan delegation stood out at the expo and was honored with the "Outstanding Organization Award" by the Guangzhou Expo Organizing Committee. This accolade not only affirms Qiandongnan's exhibition efforts but also serves as a strong endorsement of the quality of Guizhou products.

This participation marks a significant step in Qiandongnan's ongoing efforts to deepen East-West consumption collaboration. Leveraging the high-profile platform of the Guangzhou Expo, Qiandongnan has not only achieved direct sales and order conversion for its specialty agricultural products but also significantly boosted the visibility and influence of its "Miao-Dong Mountain Treasures" regional public brand across the GBA. Moving forward, Qiandongnan will thoroughly review its exhibition experience, continue to harness the empowering effect of trade fairs, further expand its GBA sales channels, and introduce more premium agricultural products to the broader GBA market, ensuring that Guangdong-Guizhou consumption collaboration yields even more fruitful results.
