The first phase of the 140th Canton Fair, running from October 15 to 19, focuses on advanced manufacturing. A group of Guangzhou-based advanced manufacturers are bringing new products, with humanoid robots, high-end CNC systems, dexterous-hand motors and high-toughness bone china among the highlights.
Guangzhou CNC (GSK) is showcasing its high-end multi-channel CNC systems. According to the company, it has ranked first in domestic market share for domestic CNC systems for 25 consecutive years, with nearly two million units supplied in total.
DOBOT presents its Lumo humanoid robot powered by the Dobot WAM embodied-AI model; its cumulative global shipments of collaborative robots have exceeded 100,000 units. OYMotion has self-developed dexterous-hand motors, cutting the price of a single motor from about 4,800 yuan to the hundred-yuan level and keeping the cost of a whole hand within 1,000 yuan, with the capacity to deliver tens of thousands of units. PITO is presenting high-toughness bone china whose hardness is increased by 42 percent using magnesia porcelain and a two-step firing process.
Panyu-based firm Ligong is also holding the global debut of its Lidian F1-S embodied-AI robot at this phase of the Fair.
To serve the Canton Fair, the Guangzhou immigration inspection authority has rolled out 16 dedicated facilitation measures: special Canton Fair lanes at passenger inspection points, zoned and classified checks for foreign travelers, and tailored arrangements for key delegations; one-stop handling of 240-hour temporary entry permits at ports including Baiyun Airport, Pazhou and Nansha; a dedicated Canton Fair hotline on the 12367 service platform offering round-the-clock multilingual consultation; and 'register once, use nationwide' fast lanes. For freight, it promotes expedited clearance and green channels for vessels carrying exhibits to improve the efficiency of exhibits entering and leaving the country.
