Phase II of the Global Sources Hong Kong Shows in October 2026 officially opened today at the AsiaWorld-Expo, running from October 18 to 21. The four-day event focuses on four core sectors: Mobile Electronics, Smart Home Security & Appliances, Lifestyle Electronics, and Sports & Outdoor. It brings together over 2,100 premium Asian suppliers across more than 4,000 booths, showcasing approximately 160,000 new products. These include mobile devices, smart wearables, AR/VR, smart home products, energy storage and charging solutions, personal health and wellness items, pet products, and sports and outdoor gear.
John Kao, Vice President of Global Sources Hong Kong and Overseas Shows, stated, "Hong Kong offers a regulatory framework aligned with international standards, robust intellectual property protection, and close proximity to the manufacturing hub of the Greater Bay Area, meeting buyers' dual needs for compliance and efficiency. Buyers no longer need to travel extensively; they can evaluate Asian manufacturing supply, conduct compliance checks, and place orders all in Hong Kong. The trust established between buyers and sellers on-site is often impossible to replicate through months of email exchanges. We are committed to continuously reinforcing Hong Kong's role as an international trade hub, providing an efficient platform for highly capable suppliers and serious buyers to connect."
Asia's first B2B pre-owned mobile phone trading zone has been officially launched. Hong Kong has long served as a vital transit hub for the global pre-owned mobile phone trade. According to IDC data, global used smartphone shipments reached 225.7 million units in 2024 and are projected to maintain a compound annual growth rate of 4.9% through 2029. For the first time, the show has partnered with the Hong Kong International Communications and Electronics Chamber of Commerce to launch the "HKICEC Global Mobile Trading Zone," marking Asia's first B2B zone dedicated exclusively to pre-owned mobile devices. This zone gathers nearly 60 leading enterprises from mainland China, Hong Kong, India, Japan, the UAE, the US, and the UK, showcasing professionally tested and data-wiped refurbished smart devices, smart testing technologies, and compliant export services.
Tencent's AI ecosystem products made their exhibition debut as AI mass production transitions into the delivery phase. In the second half of the year, the product sourcing rationale for AI products has shifted significantly, with buyers placing greater emphasis on deployment capabilities and delivery efficiency. The "AI+ Themed Zone" features over 1,200 booths across seven sectors, including AI terminal devices, AI wearables, and AI glasses. Teaming up with ecosystem partners under the theme "AI Empowering Business Growth," Tencent showcased its AI office assistant WorkBuddy and enterprise-level AI solutions. The concurrent "AI Agent Summit" brought together over 100 industry leaders to explore commercialization pathways for AI agents. Additionally, the show collaborated with the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers Association to launch the Taiwan AI Supply Chain Pavilion.
Vietnamese manufacturing and mobile phone accessories took center stage. Phase II features a dedicated "Vietnam Sourcing Zone," gathering around 50 Vietnamese manufacturers with mature export capabilities. Meanwhile, the exhibition floor hosts over 2,000 booths for mobile accessories. The concurrent Hong Kong Security Tech Show showcased solutions in security surveillance, smart access control, and cybersecurity.
The Phase II Innovation Awards focused on practicality and technological maturity, introducing the "AI Innovation Award" for the first time. The show also partnered with the European Product Design and Innovation Award to present the "Best Product Design Award."
