Heilongjiang International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition Opens in Harbin, Showcasing Over 1,000 Units of Intelligent Agricultural Equipment

Smart Agriculture

On September 19, the 2026 Heilongjiang International Agricultural Machinery Exhibition, themed "New Smart Agricultural Machinery and Equipment, New Developments in Smart Agriculture," grandly opened at the Harbin Ice and Snow World. The three-day expo will run until September 21. As a major agricultural machinery event held in the inaugural year of the 15th Five-Year Plan, the exhibition has attracted widespread attention at home and abroad, providing a vital platform for exchange and cooperation in the agricultural machinery industry.

Covering a total exhibition area of 30,000 square meters, this year's expo brings together over 100 domestic and international agricultural machinery manufacturers, smart agriculture technology enterprises, research institutes, and agricultural machinery service providers. The event showcases more than 1,000 advanced agricultural machinery units, offering a comprehensive display of the latest achievements in agricultural mechanization and smart agriculture. The exhibited equipment covers the entire agricultural production process, including land preparation, planting and fertilization, plant protection, harvesting, and drying. In particular, high-end intelligent equipment such as autonomous tractors, smart plant-protection UAVs, and precision fertilizing machines—which have garnered significant attention in recent years—have become the focal point for on-site visitors. Notably, the expo features a special exhibition area dedicated to the scientific and technological achievements of universities and research institutes, showcasing a batch of forward-looking and practical cutting-edge research outcomes and providing an intuitive window for the deep integration of industry, academia, research, and application.

The grand opening ceremony was marked by a vibrant atmosphere. Representatives from Beidahuang Agricultural Reclamation Group and the Heilongjiang Provincial Agricultural Investment Group, along with experts from leading domestic agricultural machinery enterprises and research institutes, gathered with representatives from provincial farms, agricultural machinery service organizations, large-scale growers, farmers' cooperatives, and international buyers to share in this grand event. Participants engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on core issues such as the application of smart agricultural machinery and development pathways for smart agriculture, demonstrating strong momentum for coordinated development across the upstream and downstream sectors of the industry.

The exhibition is hosted by the Heilongjiang Agricultural Machinery Circulation Association and the Heilongjiang Agricultural Machinery Industry Association, with Beidahuang Agricultural Reclamation Group Co., Ltd. and Heilongjiang Agricultural Investment Group Co., Ltd. serving as supporting organizations. Adopting a market-oriented approach, the expo integrates exhibition display, business matchmaking, technical exchange, and trade services, fully embodying the core principles of "market-oriented exhibition management and industry-driven development."

As a crucial commercial grain base in China, Heilongjiang plays a pivotal role in safeguarding national food security. Leveraging its locational advantages, the exhibition aims to build a closed-loop chain encompassing R&D and manufacturing, policy support, promotion and application, and scaled demonstration. This not only provides a solid bridge for national agricultural machinery enterprises to cultivate the Northeast market but also opens up broad channels for domestic agricultural machinery to go global. By showcasing new smart agricultural machinery and equipment, the expo is injecting strong momentum into consolidating the foundation of national food security and writing a new chapter in the modernization of smart agriculture in Heilongjiang.

Currently, China's agriculture is at a critical stage of transformation toward modernization and intelligence. During the 15th Five-Year Plan period, smart agricultural machinery and equipment will serve as a key engine for promoting high-quality agricultural development. Relying on its vast black soil and advantages in large-scale farming, Heilongjiang provides ideal conditions for the testing, demonstration, and promotion of smart agricultural machinery. By building an international and professional exchange platform, the exhibition has effectively promoted mutual learning between domestic and international agricultural machinery technologies.

As the expo progresses, intensive business matchmaking and technical exchange activities will be rolled out. The industry generally holds that this exhibition is not only a spectacular showcase of agricultural machinery and equipment but also a gathering of minds to build industry consensus and inspire innovation. With the joint efforts of all parties, the level of agricultural mechanization and intelligence in Heilongjiang and across the country will surely achieve new leaps, contributing greater strength to accelerating the building of an agricultural powerhouse and advancing comprehensive rural revitalization.
