The 20th Darwin Aboriginal Art Fair (DAAF 2026) grandly opened on August 6 at the Darwin Convention Center, running through August 9, bringing together over 75 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander art centers from across Australia, showcasing works from more than 1,800 artists.
The fair has become Australia's largest Aboriginal art exhibition. In 2025, it attracted over 15,000 visitors, generated nearly 26,000 overnight stays, and contributed A$15 million to the Northern Territory economy. Exhibits span paintings, prints, sculptures, fiber arts, fashion, and cultural clothing.
DAAF, together with Indigenous Fashion Week and the National Indigenous Fashion Awards, now forms a national Indigenous cultural arts week, promoting Australian Aboriginal art from tradition to international markets.
