In his address, BKMEA President Mohammad Hatem offered profound insights into investment and development in the textile chemical and processing sectors from the perspective of the macroeconomic and industrial landscape. He emphasized that government policy support is the core driving force for boosting investment confidence and promoting leapfrog growth in the industry. "While striving to attract foreign investment, we must ensure a stable and favorable business environment to effectively retain our existing investors," Hatem stated. Addressing industry pain points, he specifically called on relevant government departments to optimize and streamline various certification processes to make them simpler and more efficient. He further noted, "As long as we can consolidate and retain our existing investors, we will undoubtedly unlock greater potential for new investment and drive sustained prosperity in the job market." This perspective provides clear policy direction for the localized application of textile chemicals and processing technologies, as well as for attracting foreign investment.
Bangladesh's RMG sector holds a pivotal position in the global supply chain; however, the upstream dyeing and finishing segments of the textile industry have long faced pressure for technological upgrading.
