Bangladesh International Textile Series Exhibition Opens in Dhaka, Attracting Over 1,000 Exhibitors from 37 Countries

On September 3, 2026, the highly anticipated Bangladesh International Textile Exhibition Series officially opened its doors at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Centre in Purbachal. Organized by CEMS-Global USA, the event comprehensively integrates its three core exhibitions under the "Textile Series" umbrella: the 25th Textech Bangladesh 2026, the 26th Dhaka International Yarn & Fabric Show (Summer 2026 Edition), and the 53rd Dye+Chem Bangladesh 2026. Running daily from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the exhibitions provide a comprehensive and highly efficient platform for trade and technological exchange for the textile and apparel industries in South Asia and beyond.

In terms of scale, this year's mega event has demonstrated remarkable international appeal and industry cohesion. According to data released by the organizer, 1,475 renowned companies from 37 countries and regions have gathered for the event, occupying over 2,245 booths and standalone pavilions. The exhibition scope is exceptionally broad, comprehensively covering the latest technologies, machinery and equipment, yarns, fabrics, trims and accessories, dyes, and chemicals in the textile and apparel sectors. The organizer anticipates that the four-day event will attract more than 16,000 professional trade visitors for on-site tours and business negotiations.

At the grand opening ceremony, Ms. Meherun N Islam, President of CEMS-Global USA and the Asia-Pacific Region, as well as Group Managing Director, delivered a keynote address. She noted that, after years of dedicated development, these three exhibitions have firmly established themselves as vital international business platforms for Bangladesh's textile and apparel industries. Emphasizing that the exhibitions provide a valuable opportunity for domestic and international buyers and suppliers to engage in direct business matchmaking, Ms. Islam stated, "Business professionals will no longer need to travel abroad frequently in search of buyers. By bringing buyers, sellers, and suppliers together under one roof, we will significantly save time, money, and effort for all parties involved."

Against the backdrop of the industry's evolution, Bangladesh's textile and apparel sectors have experienced leapfrog development over the past 25 years. As highlighted by the organizer during the event, the industry has made remarkable strides in technology adoption, production system upgrades, productivity enhancement, compliance with international standards, and sustainable manufacturing. Building upon this solid industrial foundation, this year's exhibitions place modern technology and innovation at their core, with a special focus on showcasing cutting-edge solutions in automation, artificial intelligence (AI), digital manufacturing, and data-driven production.

To align with the historic trend of intelligent transformation in the global textile industry, the event has specially established the "Digital Transformation Zone" in Hall B. This zone集中 showcases a wide array of cutting-edge technologies related to AI and automation, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), smart factories, the Internet of Things (IoT), Industry 4.0, data analytics, cloud computing, cybersecurity, sustainable manufacturing, and traceability. The establishment of this zone not only provides local enterprises with accessible pathways for technological upgrading but also underscores Bangladesh's textile industry's firm commitment to advancing towards high value-added, intelligent manufacturing.

Beyond the extensive exhibitions, the four-day event will also host a dense schedule of five high-profile industry seminars. Closely aligned with the sector's pain points and future trends, these seminars cover a wide range of topics, including innovation and sustainable development in textiles and apparel, wastewater management, trade and supply chain synergy between Bangladesh and India, transformative shifts in industrial building design, and workforce development in the age of AI. These knowledge-intensive sessions provide attendees with in-depth industry insights and strategic guidance.

The event has drawn a diverse audience of domestic and international manufacturers, factory owners, production managers, merchandisers, procurement officers, buying agents, engineers, designers, importers, and suppliers. According to the organizer, this mega event will not only create excellent opportunities for enterprises to source new technologies and raw materials but also help all parties forge new business connections, deepen international partnerships, and collectively propel Bangladesh's textile industry to a higher position in the global value chain.
