2026 Power Battery Application Ecosystem Exhibition Opens in Yibin: Nine Zones Showcase Cutting-Edge Innovations Across the Full Value Chain

New EnergyEnergy Storage

On September 3, the highly anticipated 2026 World Power Battery Conference grandly opened in Yibin, Sichuan Province. As a key component of the conference, the 2026 Power Battery Application Ecosystem Expo officially kicked off concurrently at the Yibin International Convention and Exhibition Center. Innovatively adopting a hybrid model of "static exhibition and dynamic interactive experience," the expo focuses in depth on the entire value chain encompassing material innovation, intelligent manufacturing, scenario reconstruction, circular recycling, and solid-state breakthroughs. With nine specialized exhibition zones comprehensively planned, it presents a grand feast of cutting-edge power battery and new energy technologies for global delegates and exhibitors.

At the venue, the nine specialized zones each feature unique highlights, precisely covering the needs of upstream and downstream sectors across the industry chain. Serving as the exhibition zone for the "15th Five-Year Plan" industry development, the Prologue Hall showcases the future development plans for the power battery industry at the national, Sichuan provincial, and Yibin municipal levels, allowing visitors to grasp macro policy orientations upon entry. Notably, Spain, as the Guest of Honor Country, has brought together seven Spanish institutions—including six enterprises and one technology center—in its National Pavilion. This pavilion comprehensively covers various supporting capabilities across the power battery value chain, highlighting the internationalization of the expo. In the Power Battery and Materials Industry Chain Theme Hall, centered around CATL, upstream and downstream ecosystem enterprises gather to present a complete chain ecosystem from mineral resources and core materials to circular recycling. In addition, the Energy Storage Zone concentrates on new energy storage technologies, multi-scenario application solutions, and the integration of solid-state batteries with energy storage. Meanwhile, the zones for Solid-State Batteries, New Energy Vehicles, Recycling and Utilization, and Intelligent Equipment Manufacturing respectively correspond to cutting-edge technologies and popular application directions, comprehensively meeting the exhibition and networking needs of the entire industry.

In the highly anticipated Embodied Intelligence Zone, immersive interactive experiences intuitively demonstrate the practical application of power batteries in robotic scenarios. At the "Jiangyuan Cup" 2026 Embodied Intelligence Theme Exhibition, themed "Bringing Robots into Factories, Cities, and Life," various robots showcase their skills at dedicated workstations. They demonstrate a rich array of abilities, including greeting guests, handling materials, patrolling, dancing, playing the piano, playing chess, providing companionship, vending, and making cocktails, ice cream, and popcorn, fully revealing the vast possibilities of robotics.

At the booth of Kuawei (Shenzhen) Intelligent Digital Technology Co., Ltd., Yang Huaiyu, General Manager of the Humanoid Robot Business, demonstrated the humanoid robot "Xiaowei" skillfully completing smartphone packaging operations. Yang noted that participating in the conference serves a dual purpose: on the one hand, to seek upstream and downstream partners and suppliers to jointly promote artificial intelligence across the industry; on the other hand, the company has already collaborated with several leading power battery manufacturers to integrate humanoid robots into production lines, replacing monotonous or hazardous manual labor. Currently, the company is actively communicating with local manufacturing enterprises in Yibin, hoping to achieve in-depth cooperation.

The Low-Altitude Economy Zone is equally popular, focusing on the latest products and technologies in low-altitude flight. Wang Huaizhi, Deputy General Manager of Jiaokong Aviation Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., introduced that this is the company's first time participating in the World Power Battery Conference, bringing three flagship products including UAVs and AI low-altitude travel photography equipment. He expressed his hope to leverage the conference platform to cooperate with Yibin in the low-altitude economy sector, utilizing corporate resources to empower local industrial development.

Additionally, the smart service robots at the expo have become a stunning attraction. Di Min, Chairman of the NanDa Electronics Smart Service Robot Innovation Research Institute and Jiangsu Nanda Electronic Information Technology Co., Ltd., introduced that the company provided six smart service robots named "Xiaoai" for the conference to assist with venue navigation. Di noted that as a company focusing on the R&D, production, and sales of smart service robots, participating in the conference for the first time as a service provider has been deeply impressive. It not only showcased their products but also allowed them to feel the surging vitality of industrial innovation in Yibin, and they look forward to fostering more collaborations in the future.

It is reported that the 2026 Power Battery Application Ecosystem Expo will continue until September 6. The expo not only builds an efficient platform for exchange and cooperation for upstream and downstream enterprises in the power battery and new energy industry chains, but also outlines the broad prospects of power battery technology empowering a wide range of industries through the display of cross-sector application scenarios such as embodied intelligence and the low-altitude economy. The general public and professional visitors are welcome to visit the expo venue to experience the charm of cutting-edge technology and the strong pulse of industrial innovation firsthand.
